Installing parquet requires a thoughtful approach and knowledge of materials, as each type of wood needs slightly different treatment. At Kerowood, we install solid and multi-layer parquet, most often oak and walnut, known for their durability, elegant appearance, and long lifespan.
The surface on which we install the parquet must be level, clean, and dry. Before starting, we measure moisture and assess the suitability of the existing surface. If necessary, we carry out preparation work, such as floor leveling or applying a primer.
We install parquet in either classic (parallel) pattern, herringbone, or according to specific customer requirements. We use high-quality adhesives and materials that ensure strong adhesion and prevent the wood from warping over time. After installation, we carefully protect the parquet and prepare it for further treatment—sanding, oiling, or varnishing, if needed.
