In Šentilj, we participated in the realization of an exceptional project of a modern architectural villa characterized by 12-meter-high ceilings, large glass façade surfaces, and an open floor plan where the architecture creates a strong connection between the interior space and the natural surroundings.
In the main living areas, Kerowood oak flooring from the Style line in a wide 271 mm format was installed. Its width emphasizes the purity of the architectural lines and creates a calm and elegant spatial surface.
The flooring is also distinguished by advanced technical properties. The boards feature precisely crafted sharp edges that enable a modern minimalist appearance without emphasized joints. The surface is waterproof and resistant to liquid spills, meaning that even if wine, juice, or tea is spilled for several hours, the liquid will not penetrate the wood structure.
Thanks to its special construction, the flooring also offers approximately 30% better thermal conductivity compared to classic two- or three-layer parquet, ensuring optimal performance with underfloor heating. In addition, the flooring meets fire resistance requirements, which is important for modern architectural projects.
A special architectural highlight of the project are the cantilevered floating stairs, clad with the same oak flooring, creating perfect material continuity. The same oak is also used in the background of the glass wine display, adding a refined architectural detail to the space.
The project is complemented by vertical wooden slats on the walls of the outdoor sauna area and a view of the infinity pool, where the interior architecture elegantly connects with the exterior environment.
With the combination of natural oak, large glass surfaces, minimalist architecture, and precisely executed details, the project represents a premium example of contemporary luxury living.
