In the Lumar Primus energy-efficient house project, we used and custom-adapted Kerowood bamboo facade boards to clad the narrow sections of the lift-up garage doors. Due to technical requirements, we thinned the bamboo in our workshop so as not to affect door functionality while maintaining the façade’s refined aesthetics.
We also incorporated bamboo into the design of the pathway beside the house—creating a connecting walkway from the entrance area to the terrace, where an outdoor lounge and relaxation corner has been arranged.
This project demonstrates how Kerowood bamboo can be technically adapted and integrated into the precise architecture of a passive house, where details, durability, and sustainability are paramount.
